Happy Holidays!!!
The Christmas season is the most cherished time of year around my house. Both my husband and I grew up in houses steeped in Christmas tradition. It is no wonder that we want to pass that on to our daughter.
Our list of holiday activities are ever mounting:
- Cut down our own Christmas Tree.
- Decorate the Christmas Tree with cool to the touch LED lights and shatterproof ornaments
- Mail Christmas Cards
- Visit Santa
- Bake Cookies
- Bake Cheesecake
- Make homemade salt dough ornaments
- Wrap the gifts…after buying the gifts….
- Drive around and look at Christmas Lights
And the list goes on and on and on. Many of these traditions we did long before we were parents, but now that Gia is in toddlerhood, it is sooooo much more important for me to make amazing memories for her to have. And yes…I know I just entered the world of Clark W. Griswald in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. That being said, today marks two weeks until Christmas and we have only accomplished tasks 1-3 on my ever growing list.
For those that read my little blog, you might have wondered why I have gone ghost the past couple months. Well, to be honest I am not superwoman. Adjusting to a new job title, a new school, graduate classes of my own and being a mom has made LipstickandKettlebells a little quiet. I still have a ton to tell you, and many posts coming up that will fill in some of the gaps.
That being said, a few things will be changing at the blog. Less interesting categories will be leaving and making way for new ideas and new ventures. PS: If you are a girl mom, you will want to be paying attention the next few weeks as I announce something big.
I am so excited to share the holiday season with you and for join you in the New Year as we find our way to some amazing memories.
